EDIFICATION

Part of a servant’s heart is the opportunity to edify others. As we look to understand and serve others we can begin to see that our actions are influencing others for the better. Edification means taking time to observe, appreciate and acknowledge others actions. When someone receives a kind act or word, whether it be in writing or verbally, they often in turn do the same for someone else. In a world where it’s become the norm to criticize, edification, in the same way, is contagious. Edification is a wonderful way to influence others and it is likely that it spreads to other people and places you could never imagine. Once a person senses that others care everything changes. Problems which once seemed daunting can now be resolved. Divisions that keep people apart can now be bridged. Opportunities that at one time were distant thoughts now come to fruition. Look to edify others in every area of your life and you’ll find that new opportunities begin to open as walls are broken down.
