Israel’s leadership voted to seize Gaza to rescue more hostages and put pressure on Hamas. The resources necessary to hold this city while Israel is fighting in other countries such as Lebanon, Syria and against the Houtis in Yemen, bring additional challenges. 60000 reservists are being asked to rejoin the IDF to serve. Pray more men and women enlist.
The Iran-backed Houthis launched a campaign targeting merchant vessels in response to the Israel-Hamas war in the Gaza Strip. Their attacks over the past two years continue to affect shipping in the Red Sea, through which $1 trillion of goods usually pass each year. Recently the Houthis said they decided to escalate their military support operations against Israel. Reported by AP News.
Distribution of aid to the 2.1 million people living in Gaza has had many challenges. Aid is often stollen by Hamas or gangs and often never reaches those in need. It’s also often sold for exorbitant prices. Pray this distribution improves and gets to those in need as it continues to affect world-wide opinion of Israel which is at record lows.

The United Nations(UN) will be meeting in September and several nations have voiced support for a two-state solution. This is giving Hamas fuel to hold the hostages even longer. Pray any petition brought up is defeated and that nations who support Israel stand against it. The United States and Israel have boycotted the conference.
